This is honestly one of the best years to be a noisy music fan. Just look at the long list of artists releasing albums THAT WE KNOW ABOUT! And then the festival line-ups that are drip feeding through. And all the other stuff with emerging artists that have already taking a sweet turn in the short 3 weeks of 2019. Be happy. We’re in good company π
Three New Tunes Not To Miss
If you haven’t heard the latest Mark Morton release find yourself 4mins or so of life to actually concentrate. A ridiculously good piece of work featuring a once in a lifetime vocalist. God bless ya Chester.
Guide Dog is essentially the project of a dude called Pete who bailed from the big smoke to settle down in Cardiff, made some friends and has come up with A STONKER. π
Indoor Pets are a band that have a long history with some of you guys. Having re-named due to reverse fun problems a little while ago, this has done nothing to dampen their spirits and get them geared up for their album release date in March this year. In the meantime, the album version of ‘Pro-Procrastinator’ is ready for everyone. A track familiar with die-hard fans, a killer new addition to most, but still a damn fine piece of work.

Fever 333 – Strength in Numb333rs
Three is the magic number. I would say that’s all you need to know, but of course there’s much more to the rapcore supergroup than a mere number. When former letlive. vocalist Jason Aalon Butler, former The Chariot guitarist Stephen Harrison and Night Verses drummer Aric Improta get together they make quite the beautiful racket indeed.
If you want high energy, music with a message this is a beast. Cued up by their opening track “…”, (a collection of statements that make us reflect on how things are in the current climates around the world) ending with the rather aptly screamed line “there’s a fever coming”, you start to appreciate the melodic chaos that’s about to ensue. Live however, the chaos does take a life of it’s own.
With tracks like “Animal” paying homage to the construct of nu-metal anthems, the big new track “One Of Us” that will always be a favourite of mine thanks to the gracious screaming of the ‘f’ word in the first 30seconds. Lots of energy and brilliantly timed drops for choruses (again, image the live shows for extra momentum here) but with a great moment towards the end with the flipped “Am I Here”; a track completely stripped back on production, gives a chance to pause for thought and enjoyment. A good way to start the year and a good nudge that ‘rapcore’ is a real thing with credible, forward-thinking artists
Top track: Out Of Control.

Anything called The Bangover deserves our undivided attention. Luckily this one also serves as a nice overview for any of you thinking about attending 2000 Trees Festival after the recent announcement that You Me At Six and While She Sleeps will be there with a bunch of alternative bros.
