One of the things I love most about attending a festival is the pre-work that goes into it Making sure you know the line-up and have listened to some songs / material from the acts so that you can honestly say you had the most informed line-up plan you could possibly do. On the other hand, if you’re not attending it’s just nice to be able to kick back and listen through a tonne of bands – some of them might end up being your new favourite right?
This is a real mixture of established vs brand new, UK vs international artists that have picked up my interest from looking through The Great Escape, the UK’s premiere new music festival and slowly growing to be firmly placed in the world’s calendar for discovery.
Everything from the softly sung folk style of opener Albin Lee Meldau to the rock anthems provided by As Lions to the indie vibes of Canada’s Surf Dad’s, there really is something for everyone.
And as a extra free topping with your TGE spread check out some Kentish talent in the form of Eat Me – stonking rockers from the garden of England.
